What the score means
The score reflects how well your CV matches the specific job description you pasted in. A higher score means your CV contains more of the keywords and phrases the employer's system will be looking for.
- 90–100% — Excellent Match: Your CV is highly aligned with this role
- 75–89% — Good Match: Strong alignment, minor gaps
- 55–74% — Moderate Match: Some relevant experience but key terms missing
- Below 55% — Needs Strengthening: Significant gaps to address
How to improve your score
CVShortlist shows you which keywords are already in your CV, which have been strengthened by the rewrite, and which are still missing. You can add missing keywords manually or use the Boost feature to automatically close the gap.
💡 A score of 85%+ means you're in strong shape. Don't chase 100% — a natural-sounding CV always outperforms one stuffed with keywords.
